MY
NAME IS SUNDANCE
I am a 16.3 hand, 30 year-old Appaloosa and I'm the patriarch of JAMES, having lived here the longest. I have a calcification in my stifle joint that can be very painful for me at times and arthritis in all four legs. I'm a big boy (and really handsome too!) but because I have these problems with my legs, I can't be ridden any more. But I like kids and every once in a while Fran will let me take a small child for a walk in the turn-out. I'm very affectionate, I'm alert and curious and I like to check pockets for treats! My vet, Norm, says I'm one tough horse with a good attitude.
I was adopted once, but not taken care of the way I should have been, so Fran brought me back home to JAMES. I guess I'm a pretty special guy because she says I can stay here as long as I want to!
I have a recurring problem with skin cancer and that, along with my age, makes me a permanent fixture here at JAMES. I have a sponsor, Dot Cesari, who thinks I have really great legs and her kind sponsorship helps with my care and medical bills.
