Fran and Ron called me Promise.  The children at a local elementary school named me Angel Eyes and if I do say so, I had terrific big brown eyes with long, long lashes!  I was found wandering the streets in Whittier, so starved that the people who found me didn't think I could be saved.  Fran and Ron brought me to J.A.M.E.S., along with my friend Chance, and gave us both a lot of love and care.  I gained weight and got back my girlish figure, but no one could reverse the damage that had been done to my legs.  After about 18 months, Fran could see that it was hard for me to walk.  Most days it just felt better to lay down.  She and Dr. Norm decided it was time for a change.

I was a wild Mustang and running was my favorite thing to do.  Here at the Rainbow Bridge I ‘m free, once again, to run as long and hard as I want.  And I'll wait patiently for my friend and companion, Chance.
