My name was Ginger.  I was going blind and my owner didn't know how to help me so I came to live at J.A.M.E.S.  I was their very first rescue horse.  When Fran and Ron picked me up, they brought Rabbit to keep me company on the ride home.  It was love at first sight and he was my companion and protector for  the next 6 years - although I pretty much told him what he could do and where he could go!   Fran called me "bossy"!  I did pretty well being blind, but then developed Cushings Disease and my personality started to change.  I got scared a lot and had panic attacks and no one could calm me down.  Sometimes I would hurt myself and it broke Fran's heart to see me that way.  I really missed my friend, Rabbit, and it was decided that I needed to be with him again.

So, here I am at the Rainbow Bridge with Rabbit.  I can see again - he sure is  handsome - and despite what everyone thought, I'm not that bossy - I'm happy!
